My Background
Personal Profile
I am honored to work for and with the Indigenous communities of Canada. With my Master's in Development Practice: Indigenous Development at the distinguished University of Winnipeg, Manitoba, my primary focus lies in contributing to the self-determination of Indigenous Peoples. This involves implementing programs to reclaim control over infrastructure, justice, health, and its social determinants, fostering overall self-governance and autonomy.
Maintaining an open mind, I immerse myself in learning and deepening my understanding of Indigenous values. I seek guidance from Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and the broader community, aiming not just to be an ally but to be recognized as a relative. This commitment ensures that I approach my responsibilities with the utmost respect for the land and people, incorporating cultural wisdom shared by those I am fortunate to learn from.
Drawing on my background in Instructional Design and Education, I also contribute to the resurgence of Indigenous identity in literature. Through the development of human-centered and Indigenous-focused instructional design, I strive to create an environment conducive to interactive and effective e-learning courses tailored for the Indigenous audience. Digital storytelling is a cornerstone of my methodology, allowing me to craft e-learning experiences that are both culturally specific and impactful.
